Raised in Muncie, Indiana, I graduated from Purdue University, where I met my wife, Cathryn. After living and working in corporate America in cities like New York and Chicago, we retired in beautiful Colorado. Married 40 years, we have 3 amazing kids with 3 great partners and 6 adorable grandkids.
I always enjoyed writing and drawing. While coaching and consulting executives on how to build high-performing sales organizations, I decided to pursue a side passion project to turn my table napkin sketches into something more.
I launched my writing and illustrating career with an adult-humor style children’s book “Everybody Loves Sacks.” After receiving praise for the creative twist on a classic bedtime story, I was inspired to create my second publication, “Don’t Bug Little Leo.”
Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2006, I am determined to “live well” and hope my books bring laughter and joy to my readers.
Proceeds from all book sales will fund Parkinson’s research at the Davis Phinney Foundation | www.davisphinneyfoundation.org
Everyone Loves Sacks is a silly read-out-loud tale about a dog named "Sacks". While it is written in a children's book format, its edgy, entendre-based humor is aimed at adults. It's perfect for parents with infants to kindergarten (and over 21!) or maybe you're looking for something fun for a new pet owner.
Don't Bug Little Leo is based on a true story about a boy named Leo who loved to play in his sandbox. Through the events of a day in the sandbox day Leo learns important lessons about the value of bugs, and so much more.
